You're right, it was definitely worth it. :)

I like how the veins in the flower are showing in the bottom portion, especially.

thanks... that's the part I wanted to accentuate in this shot.... I'm glad someone commented on this finally... I put a lot of work in to these.... there's actually something... unsatisfying about devart sometimes.... because you put so much soul in to things and people can be so passe about it... sometimes I feel a bit... underrated... not to sound egomaniacal or anything...

Oh I completely get what you mean. You can put a lot of effort into certain elements of a shot and either no one notices them, or they just don't say if they do. And it can get really frustrating at times!

Once you get some more exposure you'll have more chance of people noticing these sorts of things in your photos. It might take a year, but it'll happen!

...Or so I'm hoping, anyway! lol :P

thanks! I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way.....

being here has made me think about my work a lot more and how I'm taking shots..... it's good that way because once I have an audience for my work, it does kind of improve.....

your work is definitley good, but there's so much of it, I definitley have to invest time in to perusing your gallery.
